Since 1993, Worn Gundidj Aboriginal Cooperative has been turning local Indigigenous artwork into quality fabric merchandise. Worn Gundidj at Tower Hill are members of the Australia Made campaign therefore all locally crafted products carry a Certificate of Authenticity. Worn Gundidj BackgroundWorn Gundidj (belonging to our land) Aboriginal Co-operative Ltd commenced in 1992 to provide work for unemployed indigenous persons in community managed activities and assist individuals in acquiring skills that benefit evolving community enterprises. All profits derived from Worn Gundidj goods and services are reinvested back into employment and community development.
Worn Gundidj TurtleOuter lines and circles characterize walking tracks leading to waterholes that remain traditional meeting places. The animated colours of earth, sun, fire and water inside the turtle represent the coming together of land, sea and Aboriginal people who are protectors of culture and nature.
